How to Pick Your Wedding Day Glam

IMG_1879.JPG

Alright, you’ve booked your first makeup trial. Now what? Some will say that your makeup should come last in priority, but my mom and I have a joke on how silly it is that some don’t want to put forth the effort or money to seek out a talented makeup artist, but you’ll see these photos of yourself for years. Not the cake.

When it comes to picking your wedding day glam, you want to stay true to who you are. I’ve worked with brides that I’ve known personally for years who have come in wanting something completely different than their everyday makeup look. Noooo. Your spouse-to-be fell in love with you, so stay true to you. The last thing you want on your wedding day is to feel like you’re being someone that you’re not. Book your trial, stay true to who you are, and always choose a timeless look over a trendy look.

Some of my favorite sources of inspiration for picking your timeless look are Pinterest and Instagram, but I’ll always come back to doing what’s best and will look best for you. There’s beauty in being unapologetically you and staying true to yourself.

Bonus: I’m also answering a few frequently asked questions for my blushing brides to be.

Which foundation do I use?

CoverFX.It is vegan and cruelty-free which gives it better coverage. It’s also made from safe and high-performing ingredients so you can rest easy that your makeup is working for your skin on your wedding day. It’s also free from Parabens, Gluten, Mineral Oil, Fragrance, Talc, Alkyl Sulfates and Phthalates.

Do I offer airbrush?

Yes! It’s great for sensitive skin and allergies. If you’re not familiar with airbrush it is pigment and water that is beautifully painted on to your skin. I do not recommend this service for people with dry, flaky skin.

What is my signature makeup look?

I’m not sure I have signature look since every bride is different, but a glowy, natural look is my trademark. I am all about accentuating natural beauty.
